Y'know, when we get a blizzard east of the Rockies here in Colorado it's usually Monument, north of me, that gets piled up to the second story and the rest of us can make it out to school okay. But for some reason, presumably because the snow stopped last night and the sun's out today, none of the schools around here even had a two-hour delay... and Woodmen had a huge accident, Briargate to the highway was piled up like three lights back, I passed at least three stalled cars (in turn lanes, inevitably, so I had to go around them) and nearly hit like five others thanks to my steering wheel being so very disobedient. It was around then I decided to call my mom and she gave the executive order for me to turn around and come home. ...I'm playing hooky by my mom's orders, how d'ya like that?

Okay, it's not still snowing, and the sun's out. I can see not calling a snow day but... seriously, no delay? I've seen them give delays to the local schools on days I could get out to my school just fine (the community college almost never delays or closes... it's a pain...). But no one has a delay. Which is really weird for around here. The conditions really were pretty nasty earlier this morning, considering I normally get to school half an hour early and it took me 'til the start of class time just to get a couple of lights away from the highway and turn around home. *sigh* I would've been late anyway...

So my perfect attendance in Econ class is dashed, much to my chagrin, since missing a lecture means getting screwed on the subsequent quiz and test. I hope I can borrow somebody's notes. Really, really hope. Yeeeaaaaaah... or maybe the prof got iced in. Well, probably not. But I can hope. Or if no one showed... grr, I'm just peeved about missing a lecture. This had better not screw up my grade too much.

Fortunately, my Japanese teacher called a "virtual class" (email correspondence) today, so I'm only missing one class by staying home today.
