Yes, the bug is chomping on Kiyu's head. Isala commands them. And she's miffed at Kiyu.

I totally forgot to draw Kiyu's neckband in the last panel >.< Don't mind me, I'm just stupid. I always forget characters' accessories here and there. It's part of why I kept Mayu's ears unpierced. Aw damn, betcha I forgot Isala's earrings somewhere already too... not looking for it, not looking.

Kiyu is being a bit single-minded at the moment, but as you will find out in future strips (presuming I ever make them), it's because it's been quite a while since he's eaten. He and Isala are not always the most... prudent people when it comes to spending. Fortunately, Kiyu is a pretty quick learner when it comes to things that aren't related to social skills, so he won't be too stupid in the future... often.
